Good-looking and bright - but enough about you! Sheffmed is proud to introduce its new surgical Lion Headlight. This is an anatomically designed, universally fitting device that provides cordless high-intensity LED light with unparalleled battery life and a quick-release feature to allow continuous use.

Through talking to our existing customers, we found that many surgeons and nurses felt that most available headlights manufactured by our competitors were little value for money. Common complaints included a poor fit, a suitable lack of adjustment for different head sizes, poor lighting and the weight and fragility of the frame. One critical design flaw which prevented continuous use of many headlights was the inclusion of integrated batteries into the frame itself, meaning that once the battery had died the examiner had to remove the headlight to be able to charge it or plug in a trailing cable.

Our Lion Headlight features a self-adjusting headframe made of a soft polymer with an elasticated mechanism accomodating all adult head sizes. Weighing in at just 170 grams, it is ultra-lightweight and does not rely on traditional sponge padding for comfort making it easier to clean. It is powered by a rechargable cordless Lithium-ion battery available in two editions, Blue and Red, providing up to 9 hours of continous use and the LED spotlight produces 400 Lumens of light in a clearly defined circle.
