This instrument is designed for effortless intensive care of neonates and premature babies, so that actions can be performed in complete safety. 

The Tom Pouce advantageously replaces traditional balloon ventilation. It offers good working com- fort with better control of inspiration and expiration times. The various PIP and PEEP times are checked visually on a manometer. 

It is easy to adjust and can be activated with one finger. It is compact and easily fixed onto the rail of a resuscitation table or an incubator and is easily connected to a flowmeter or an oxygen mixer.
