Self-cleaning

      -       ORUFLOW device improves the welfare of the patients by eliminating the hygiene problems in the uroflowmetry test

      -       No need for emptying the urine container

Can function without an operator

• No longer will a patient be assisted by a certified nurse as Oruflow lets the patient undergo the test in an actual restroom environment.
• The Uroflowmetry test will lower work hours for both healthcare personnel and staff members.

 

Internet of things(IoT) technology

• Oruflow’s IoT infrastructure lets both the patient and the doctor keep track of all health record history via mobile devices.

In Baskent University Computer Engineering Department, “Urodynamics Training Kit” project was started as a graduation project. After a year working under the supervision of Computer Engineering’s and Medical School’s faculty members, the project was honored to be supported by the Ministry of Industry.

It was also selected as one of the three successful and innovative projects that had been supported by the Science and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).

The company has been selected as one of the top 8 companies that have the potential for expansion and growth globally by METU Technopark (the most prestigious location of work for a technology company in Turkey) in 2013.

It was selected as one of the best 10 enterprises by TUBITAK and was qualified to attend the Silicon Valley program in January 2014.

This firm has also been given the Success Prize by METU Technopark in the category of the University-Industry Cooperation Micro Scale Firm.

With those opportunities, the young entrepreneur Utku Ulusahin and Ahmet Uludag have invented the Oruflow, world’s first self-operating uroflowmeter.

Oruflow, self-operating uroflowmeter was developed in continuation of innovative research and development studies, which is the first application of the worldwide trend of carrying pre-screening health tests outside the clinic in the area of urology. With the aim of becoming a global Turkish medical technology start-up Oruba is rapidly continuing its studies.
