“Fast absorption polyglycolic acid” sutures are made up of braided and coated polyglycolic acid, meant for faster absorption. Menasorb fast is recommended only when faster absorption is desired. The higher homopolymer of glycolide, is reduced to simpler polymer for fast absorption.
