HIV/Syphilis/HBV/HCV Panel Rapid Test
The OnSite HIV/Syphilis/HBV/HCV Panel Rapid Test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection and differentiation of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and antibodies to HIV-1, HIV-2, Treponema pallidum (Tp), and HCV in human serum, plasma, or whole blood. This test is intended to be used by professionals as a screening test and provides a preliminary test result to aid in the diagnosis of infection with HIV, Syphilis, HBV, and HCV. Any interpretation or use of this preliminary test result must also rely on other clinical findings as well as on the professional judgment of health care providers. Alternative test method(s) should be considered to confirm the test result obtained by this device. Both HIV-1 and HIV-2 viruses can elicit strong immune responses including the production of antiviral antibodies. Presence of antibodies (IgG, IgM and IgA) to HIV virus in whole blood, serum or plasma indicates the exposure of an individual to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2, which is of great value for clinical diagnosis. Serological detection of antibodies (IgG, IgM and IgA) to Treponema pallidum (Tp) has long been recognized as an aid in the diagnosis of syphilis since the natural course of the infection is characterized by periods without clinical manifestations.
