Chembio | DPP® HIV-Syphilis Assay

Chembio Diagnostic Systems has developed the first dual HIV 1/2 and Syphilis Point-of-Care (POC) test utilizing Chembio’s patented Dual Path Platform (DPP®) technology. The Chembio DPP® HIV-Syphilis Assay is a single-use, immunochromatographic, rapid test for the detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus Types 1 and 2 (HIV 1/2) and Treponema pallidum (the causative agent of syphilis) in fingerstick whole blood, venous whole blood, serum, and plasma. The Chembio DPP® HIV-Syphilis Assay is intended for use as a point-of-care test to aid in the diagnosis of infection with HIV and/or Syphilis. This test is suitable for use in multi-test algorithms designed for the statistical validation of rapid HIV test results. A unique feature of this kit is Chembio’s new DPP® SampleTainer® bottle which contains a premeasured dilution buffer within a closed vial that also serves as a dropper for performing the assay.
