MESI ABI measurement solutions
Discover blocked arteries in 1 minute with MESI ABPI MD and MESI mTABLET ABI
We have designed and developed the first valuable automated Ankle-Brachial Index measuring devices, based on oscillometry and volume plethysmography.
The blood pressure on the upper and lower extremities is measured simultaneously, resulting in the calculation of the Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI).
The result of the examination is clear and straight forward. Only what is really important – the left ABI, right ABI and brachial blood pressure – is displayed. The measurement is repeatable and can be performed in only one minute, instead of the usual 30 minutes that are required to perform the manual Doppler method.
Ankle-Brachial Index measurement is used to detect Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
PAD is a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to patient’s limbs as a result of atherosclerosis. The condition is underdiagnosed and undertreated: more than 2/3 of patients do not have any symptoms.
