The T-SPOT®.TB test is a unique, single-visit blood test, also known as an interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) for TB infection. The T-SPOT.TB test is the only blood test that has demonstrated in a pivotal clinical study both sensitivity and specificity exceeding 95% and reliability in all at-risk groups.1 The T-SPOT.TB test does not cross react with the bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine and there is no association between T-SPOT.TB test results and immunocompromised status.
