SOLAR MODULAR BIPOLAR SYSTEM
The SOLAR HIP-MODULAR* Bipolar system is designed to offer comprehensive solution in Neck of Femur fractures in elderly patients.
The SOLAR HIP MODULAR* Bipolar assembly comprises of cemented Orion Stem, Jupiter Head, Saturn Bipolar Cup with UHMWPE Cup Liner.
Orion Stems* are designed with time tested Muller principles in 6 different sizes to offer greater customization. The Orion Stems are manufactured using SS316 L Stainless Steel conforming to ISO 5832-I to impart long term survivorship to the implant. The specially chosen process of forging ensures uniformity in micro-structural grains, eliminating the chances of formation of micro cavities or potential to develop micro cracks. It offers standard 12-14 taper that gets snugly locked in the Jupiter Head cavity.
Jupiter Heads* are manufactured using Special 316 L Stainless Steel conforming to ISO 5832-I. The Jupiter Head Cavity has been machined on Ultra High Tech CNC Machines to provide accuracy within Micron Limits. Jupiter Heads are available in 22mm & 28mm diameter with an option of 4 Neck Lengths in each size. This enhances the modularity of the system and helps the surgeon to achieve near natural offsets for perfect customization.
Saturn Bipolar Cups* are made of SS 316L SS conforming to ISO 5832-I with UHMWPE cup liner confirming to ISO 5834-I or ISO 5834-II with digitally controlled mirror finish polish to minimize friction on acetabular surface. Saturn Bipolar Cups are available in 17 sizes starting from 38mm to 54mm, with difference of 1mm in Dia. This feature completes the required customization.
The Saturn Bipolar Cup with Poly Liner & the Jupiter Head are held in place by a ’Circlip Ring’ also made from UHMWPE.
A very special care is taken to keep the manufacturing and the packaging area clean & lint free. Implants are sterilized by gamma irradiation.
