SERION ELISA neonatal
SERION ELISA neonatal Neonatal diagnostics
Infections acquired in utero may have severe consequences for the fetus and newborn child. Consequently, it is advisable, within the framework of a screening program, to test for specific IgM antibodies to certain infectious agents in order to rapidly identify infected neonates and facilitate prompt and appropriate medical interventions. To this end, the following SERION ELISA classic immunoassays have been validated for the detection of pathogen specific IgM antibodies using neonatal heel-prick dried blood spot (DBS) samples.
