Saphenous Vein Distention System (SVDS) Saphenous Vein Distention SystemThe SVDS limits the pressure that can be applied to the saphenous vein during the harvesting procedure. Unique latex free pressure limiting balloon prevents complications associated with overdistension, such as endothelial damage, thrombosis, sub-endothelial hyperplasia and accelerated lipid uptake. After harvesting, the vein is used as a graft in bypassing blockages in the coronary arteries. Manufactured in accordance with ISO13485 the device is FDA 510k approved. Supplied sterile in two color coded pressure limiting sizes, 200mm Hg & 300mm Hg.
