The diameter of the precipitin ring is directly proportional to the amount of protein present in the sample and can be measured using an eye piece or, for more precise measurement, with Binding Site's Digital RID Plate Reader. The majority of our RID assays are based on conventional antibody-antigen technology. Where increased sensitivity is required, we have developed NANORID™ technology. These kits use latex enhanced antibodies to give accurate quantitation, even at low concentrations of protein.
