FERRROUS GLUCONATE:

Ferrous gluconate is a type of iron.  Iron becomes a part of hemoglobin and myoglobin. Hemoglobin carries oxygen through your blood to tissues and organs. Myoglobin helps your muscle cells store oxygen. Ferrous gluconate is used to treat or prevent iron deficiency anemia (a lack of red blood cells caused by having too little iron in the body).

BETA CAROTENE:

Beta carotene is converted into vitamin A, an essential vitamin and antioxidant. An antioxidant is a substance that inhibits the oxidation of other molecules. It protects the body from free radicals that vital to good health and longevity; they benefit eye health, boost immunity, and foster cell growth.
