Biarticular Head
The biarticular or bipolar SURGIVAL system is a system for hip hemiarthroplasty in which the main objective is the preservation of the anatomic acetabulum and joint cartilage.
The design of this two-joint system offers the possibility of dual rotation by the combination of two spherical geometries thereby allowing to reduce friction and increase the life of the articular cartilage and therefore the system.
The two-joint system consists of; the two-joint dome, the two-joint insert and the femoral head. The dome and head are made of Stainless Steel 316 LVM thus offering high mechanical strength. Meanwhile the insert is made of UHMWPE Polyethylene ensuring high impact strength and wear.
