Crescent Tissue Retractors

Sheffmed’s new Crescent series of surgical tissue retractors are based on the proven and conventional method of elasticated retraction to hold tissue in place, allowing unobstructed access during surgery. As a self-retaining system, it allows the surgeon to operate with both hands while providing a stable platform and delivering superior organisation.

Many existing self-retaining retraction systems available in the market offered poor adjustment capability and did not provide vertical lift, which is critical in some procedures, such as breast surgery. Their fixed shape limited their surgical applications and were unnecessarily expensive. Through two years of research and development, Sheffmed has developed a series of revolutionary new retractors available in a range of flexible, articulating shapes to give surgeons complete freedom in gynaecology, urology, podiatry, neurology, coloproctology and any other "ology" you can think of!
