How it works
Pregnant women need the active principle of folic acid and it is usually administered as food supplement. However, several women, because of congenital lack of specific enzymes, cannot transform folic acid in the active principle needed for the formation of the nervous apparatus of the child.
Betafolic plus contains the Quatrefolic® (patented) that it is the active principle of the folic acid, therefore it can supply directly the needed active substance. Betafolic plus also helps to maintain correct levels of homocysteinemia, The liver produces the homocysteine. Hyperhomocysteinemia is a trigger for many diseases, such as atherosclerosis that is the main cause of heart attack.
Betafolic plus also contains the Vitamins B2, B6 and B12, Zinc and Folate.
Vitamins help to reduce feelings of tiredness and fatigue and helping to maintain a healthy nervous system.
Zinc has positive effects on brain function and cognitive performance, regulates the synthesis of DNA, protects cells against oxidative damage and has profound effects on the immune system.
