Antimicrobial resistance- PBRT 2.0 kit
Antibiotic resistance is a serious threat to public health, leading to treatment failures and sometimes death. Plasmids represent one of the most difficult challenge for counteracting the spread of anti-microbial resistance in Gram-negative bacteria. In the scenario of epidemiology of resistance, the PBRT 2.0 Kit (PCR based replicon typing method) allows the identification and typing of a broad range of “epidemic” plasmids, enabling their surveillance in bacteria isolated from veterinary, clinical or food samples, as well as the screening of plasmid content before sequencing. The kit is unique on the market and used worldwide.
