Anti-CCD Absorbent for allergy diagnostics

IgE antibodies directed against cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants (CCD) of allergens can lead to false positive results, which complicate the interpretation of results in in vitro allergy diagnostics. The Anti-CCD Absorbent used with EUROLINE allergy tests provides the following advantages:

• Neutralisation of anti-CCD IgE
• Targeted detection of clinically relevant IgE antibodies directed against the protein part of allergens
• Increased diagnostic specificity due to elimination of anti-CCD-dependent cross-reactions
• Simple incubation procedure and automated evaluation

A CCD band is included on all EUROLINE allergy profiles to determine the presence of anti-CCD IgE antibodies in patient samples prior to absorption.
