The Water-Jel gel technology is in daily use worldwide by professional emergency medical and rescue practitioners both civilian and military for over 30 years.
The new Water-Jel FIRST RESPONDER burn dressings are saturated in a new, odour free, crystal clear gel that does not present as opaque to the receiving advanced emergency medical clinicians in the hospital Emergency Department (ED) or Burn Unit, thereby allowing for a more effective visual evaluation of the burn injury and its surrounding tissue. Water-Jel FIRST RESPONDER burn dressings are designed to effectively and efficiently take the excess heat out of burn injuries.
Water-Jel Fire Blankets offer one of the quickest, easiest and most direct methods of administering emergency first aid burn care. When placed on a victim, our gel-soaked blankets cool the skin, protect against airborne contamination, and help relieve pain all in one simple step, with no special training required. They can also be used to extinguish flames on a victim and smother small fires. Our Water-Jel Fire Blankets are composed of a 100% worsted-wool carrier with an intercellular weaver capable of absorbing up to 13x its own weight. The wool is soaked in a water-based, watersoluble gel that is bacteriostatic and biodegradable. The Water-Jel Fire Blankets are available in three sizes and are packaged in highvisibility, orange, wall-mountable canisters or pouches.
Unlike petroleum-based products, which can trap heat in the skin, Water-Jel Burn Jel actually draws the heat out of the burn and begins dissipating it on contact. Based on the same water-based gel technology used in our Fire Blankets and Burn Dressings, Burn Jel offers fast, cooling relief from the pain of minor burns. Available in unit-dose packs, squeeze bottles and a pump dispenser.
Water-Jel Burn Kits and Emergency Burn Stations are available in a variety of designs to better meet the different work environments of first responders, safety managers, and medical professionals. Developed in collaboration with paramedics around the world, these burn kits and burn stations offer different combinations of our Burn Dressings, Burn Wrap/Fire Blankets, and Burn Jel to meet any burn emergency. All Water-Jel Burn Kits come in handy transport and storage bags. All Water-Jel Emergency Burn Stations are manufactured from durable, wipe-clean plastics.
