Our initial success in the innovation of procedural packs led to the opening of our manufacturing plant in Bromsgrove, where we employ over 100 people dedicated to providing quality medical devices for the healthcare market. Subsequently Kimal opened a 60,000 sq. ft. distribution centre nearby at Droitwich, Worcestershire. Our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified contract services operation is dedicated to providing a personalised approach to our customer needs whilst delivering cost effective products of exceptional quality and reliability. Kimal also provide contract manufacturing services to other medical device companies. Our products are manufactured in four ‘Class 8' clean rooms and sterilised offsite using ETO. We have an extensive range of qualified medical grade components and considerable experience with assembly processes and test equipment. Our commitment to supporting product development and manufacture is exemplified by our continuous materials and process innovation. In addition to this is our ever-evolving partnership approach where we work together with other manufacturers and suppliers utilising our facilities to best effect and to the benefit of our customers.
Kimal obtained a Medicines Manufacturing Licence becoming the first UK procedure pack manufacturing company with the capability to include pharmaceuticals in procedure packs, in addition to devices.The first pharmaceutical product to be added to Kimal procedure packs, for customer convenience is Chloraprep™ (Carefusion) disinfectant scrub.Chloraprep™ is a 2% chlorhexidine gluconate for skin disinfection. Kimal offer the complete Chloraprep™ range, including tinted.Kimal can now also add Lidocaine, a local anesthetic to packs. Other pharmaceuticals will be available in the coming future
