Mistral
Mistral is a breath sampler that stores in a cartridge the VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) contained in the patient’s breath: a specialized laboratory performs the analysis and transmits the report to the hospital. The device allows to execute rapid, cheap and non-invasive screening activities aimed to make early detection of a wide range of pathologies (colorectal cancer, lung cancer, etc). Compared to other diagnostic tools today identified as Gold Standard (colonoscopy, etc), “breathomic” is absolutely non-invasive and easy to perform.
